Countless small rivers and natural lakes blanket the southern Utah region which is mostly known for scenic national and state parks. The discriminating angler will be rewarded with seemingly endless waters with the stunning red rock backdrop.
Near most of the national parks are healthy streams which flow from and through higher elevations around 5,500-7,000 feet on average.
Small natural lakes loaded with football sized Brook Trout, Cutthroat and Tiger Trout can be caught and released from perfect float tubing still-waters. "Took a half day trip, fly fishing for trout on a remote creek. Our guide was excellent and managed to teach my wife to cast while directing me to the known hot spots. We both managed to catch several Bonneville cutthroat trout. The trip was enhanced by the beauty of the surrounding countryside and we were fortunate to see wild antelope.
The trip was a resounding success.
